In reality, we should be living entirely curious lives.
People don’t make breakthroughs or discoveries by staying the same and never challenging society or life. Without powerful questions, we wouldn’t have the world we have today.
Why Should You be Asking Questions of Yourself?
Our brains are wired to provide answers and validation. If we think something, our unconscious will present information in such a way that makes it true.
For example, a thought such as ‘why can’t I succeed?’. Presents evidence like, ‘you are not intelligent enough’ or ‘you don’t deserve it’.
Instead of asking terrible, disempowering questions and getting terrible, disempowering answers.
You can use your amazing brain to your advantage! Ask amazing, empowering questions and receive amazing, empowering answers.
You can actually change your entire state with the questions you ask yourself. Taking advantage of the mind-body connection to improve your mentality and physiology.
If something terrible happens, do you turn to the ‘Why me?’ question? Resulting in spiralling negative thoughts and internal chaos. It’s these kinds of questions that cause you to feel powerless. Presenting answers that leave you unable to change your situation or see a way out.
By asking better questions you give yourself the power. The power to change anything, be anything and be open to possibility.
Questions for personal growth also encourage you to continually work on yourself and improve. You are your best investment and self-development is an excellent way to personal empowerment and self-awareness.
Meditation is another practice that can help empower you as it quiets your conscious mind. Your conscious thoughts can get in the way of your unconscious presenting new ideas.
Do you ever have those times when a literal lightbulb goes off? That is your unconscious bringing ideas to your conscious mind in answer to your questions.
Therefore, you can use meditation and mindfulness as a tool to welcome your empowering answers. You might find it helpful to use guided meditations to focus and clear your mind properly.
